Life

Sometimes life comes as a punishment
That we get at every moment
Sometimes it's a blessing
With each day passing

I can't help but keep on thinking
What is out there that I'm missing?
Every day with each discovery
I learn there is more in the world than poverty

There is joy and friendship
As well as pleasure and great leadership
We have many challenges to face
We will face them with an embrace

Life can be cruel
Even more than a duel
But in my heart I know
To succeed we need more than dough

We will survive hand-in-hand
Just like during the performance of a huge band

This Poems Story

I'm a high school student, I love to draw and write poems, I am a student consultant of the literary magazine club of Wethersfield High. I enjoy reading and writing as much as I enjoy watching animes. I hope to be a fiction writer someday, and I am working hard starting now to achieve that goal. It's a great honor to have my poem in this book. I hope that one day my name can be on the cover of many books by being a New York Times best-selling author.
