Life gives you lemons

By AceS

When life gives you lemons
Some say make lemonade
Some tell you its to squeeze it into your enemies eyes.
But what if my lemon is dry?
What if there is nothing to squeeze?
There is a saying,
Make sure the juice is worth the squeeze.
My lemon is dead and done.
No juices will squeeze for me.
But that’s not fair, I didn’t get to pick my lemon.
Why did she get a better lemon then me?
Can I please have another, just one more try?
This time my lemon could be better and fair and so juicy.
But life’s not fair and there are no redos.
No extra handouts or chances for me.
No lemon for its sweet drink,
No lemon to squeeze to protect me.
Oh how I wish life was fair to me
And gave me a juicy plum lemon,
Not This dry thing before me.
Life is so unfair
To me... to everybody.
But no one every said it would be.
Life’s not fair.
Who ever thought that a lemon would be what taught me that.
