Life Is a Dance

By

The moment we’re born we step on the floor,
we listen to the music, we write our own score.
We watch when we’re young, we see all the moves,
we learn all the steps and all the dance grooves.
We dance with family, we dance with friends,
we dance, we dance, until it all ends.
We dance with partners, we dance alone,
we dance with our babies, until they’re all grown.
We dance with vigor when in our prime,
a little bit slower in the course of time.
We dance through highs, we dance through lows,
we make wrong moves and we step on toes.
We dance with those we hardly know,
change our partners and dosey doe.
We dance and dance, we do our best,
dancing along on our heavenly quest.
We dance, we dance, that’s what we do,
we dance until our dance is through.
