Life is a Labyrinth

Sunken eyes stare at cultured marble
The water reflecting on the ceiling as my feelings of loneliness threaten to drown me
Would anyone concern themselves with my passing?
Perhaps the one who raised me, might shed a tear
But the jeers of the faceless bullies at school came to the forefront of my mind
My reflection was interrupted by the water smacking the edge of the tub
Crushing despair encompassed the small bath
The path to take still unclear
Life is a struggle
Strife is a constant
The choice is to carry on or to live without it
On scales both large and small
My destiny’s writing was on the wall
Water poured off in sheets as I rose
This pool of sadness would not be my death bed
This hollow ground not where I stay
Try though my thoughts might, despair would not rule me tonight
