Life Is a Struggle

Men and women fight to have
Something that is tangible unlike
Children that run falling over the earth
With pieces of their torn skin painting the
Cement in order to catch a shooting star and
Wish for a life living in castles eating delicacies
Fit for princes and princesses from story book
Fairy tales while enjoying the vivid imaginings
Of riding on unicorns with a double-edged sword slaying
Invisible dragons and gaining the love from everyone
Who has heard their names while showering them with knick
Knacks that they've picked up on their adventure
But the children not knowing that their world would be
Barricaded in by many walls blocking them from
Their colorful paths once they are older and only
Then they would know that life is a struggle.
