Life Is Like a Rose

Leaves soft and vibrant green, petals velvet to the touch,
Stem standing tall and strong, barley swaying in the deep breath of
The wind, because it is not afraid
But, with everything in life, time changes even the most strong and
Beautiful of them all.
Leaves are now dull and brittle
Its stem bends and lunges away from the smallest breath of wind as
If in fear of it
Petals that seemed to always last with the feel of velvet,
Can barely hang on to its once crimson beauties that now crumble
With the slightest touch
It is in its last
And yet in a sense it is still beautiful, because life is beautiful
