Life Is Not a Fairytale

The truth lies in her tears of sadness
In the depths of her soul
She looks beyond the purple flames of hatred
And all she thought was right and good
It was....for a brief moment of solitude
She was alone all the time
Words of love spoken on deaf ears....unrequited
To a broken heart, soul, body, mind
So much for her Cinderella-like thoughts of ever ever after
And happy endings full of ball gowns, stage coaches, glass slippers
Waiting to be found....lost
Life is not a fairytale
