Life Isn’t Fair

You take a deep breath of the cold air
thinking to yourself how you became a snare.
Wondering how you brought yourself to hate
when love was what you wanted to create.
You take a look at the shining sky,
yet you look at the lifeless trees and began to cry.
You remember that feeling when you would smile,
but also remember how it didn't even last a while.
Life isn't fair when the people you love don't care.
