Life Isn’t Fair

Look down the empty street
Stained and broke
Like your memory
All of its slipping away
You grew up here
Played and laughed
Loved and cried
Now it's gone
Look down the sidewalk
cracked and smashed
Like how you feel
Crushed as the names fade
Look in the forgotten house
Worn down and crumbling
Wonder who lived there
Oh wait, you lived there
Why has this happened
You don't remember your family
Life is cruel
You heard it so many times
Now it has become true
Life isn't fair
