Life Itself

The scars left behind are words that we couldn't find.
Speechless for a while, in the end it ended up vile.
I said I was fine, then it struck me like lightning on a line.
Silence is just the beginning, this world has got my head spinning.
Time won't always be there;
that's my biggest fear, my biggest scare.
Days are longer, miseries worse, maybe it's just a curse.
No one promised happiness forever;
and sadness never.
There comes a time in life where we have to fight;
or lose all might.
May not be easy, may not be quick;
but the lessons learned from it will always stick.
