Life Once Sought

Dazed and hazy
Stumbling through
With incomplete thoughts
And endless to-dos
Realizing now
The impossibility
To live in a world
That's constantly killing me
So I write down in verses
This struggle and shame
Desperately yearning
To forget my own name
Hope is a fallacy
Designed by the innocence
To keep at a distance
Reality's belligerence
But these endless to-dos
And incomplete thoughts
Are relentless reminders
Of the life I once sought
