Life’s Problems, Re-evaluated

Life's problems seemed to seek her out,
She pondered plaintively.
Through all her pain and suffering,
The good she couldn't see.

The pain and desolation
Every day she would endure
Until hopefully, eventually,
The docs would find a cure.

What a blessing that would be;
At last, too be made whole!
To leave her sordid, empty life,
And assume her previous role

Her plight was yet unyielding;
No hope could she contrive.
She struggled every day just to keep alive,

When suddenly, against all odds,
She had an epiphany:
Although unable to control her body,
Her mind she could set free.
