Life’s ride


When I was just a fry I was taught never to lie morals and values were taught we learn to respect people places and things and except the things we cannot change struggles we overcame in fame and glory a name we made steady and straight we steer through life without fear weather good or bad right or wrong were lessons we learned along the way disciplined and rewards were actions for the cause when we broke the rules pain was sometimes the price we pay no blood was ever shed discipline applied through life's toughest ride allowance was our rewards for our daily chores we challenged what we could adapt to what we couldn't reasoning with questions using logic and minds not fist or knives there was no questioning one's beliefs gender or race never treated with disgrace never and to offend opposing views boundaries we did not cross afraid the feud may cause a loss friends have come and gone but few remain on this ride called life...
