Life\'s Surprises

Scared to death of this rush
It can pull me under once more
And yet I feel the constant blush
Created by the open door

Sailing straight for the waterfall
Uncontrolled and wild
Unfortunately that's not all
It seems so tame and mild

Deception in the gentle calm
Waiting to pull me in
Knowing I need a soothing balm
And hoping I will finally sin

Racing, racing on and on
Faster and faster I go
Can I face another dawn
If I go with the flow

Here I choose my curving road
And slide gentle into it
Gone is the heavy load
As I drive into the pit.
