Light and Dark

Darkness seems to creep slowly,
touching and tainting anything in its path.
The grass turns black,
the flowers wither,
and the air becomes frigid with the feeling of death.

Then when Light appears,
The two battle and reach an equilibrium.
The grass become green,
the flowers grow,
but there is a cost.
In the dark part of the equilibrium,
everything must die.

They must die so they can come back.
Come back fuller and brighter than they were before.
