Light Moon

By

The subject of many words spun in silky soliloquies,
many lovers embraced under her light,
many more longed for love’s embrace under the same shadow.
She moves hearts like tides onto sands and deserts,
she calmly lights the darkness that we do linger in, showing us the way to the stars and high above she stays,
with silver light and incandescence,
far away but her gravity holds us longer than any blue sky day,
she is the rock on which we pour our hearts desires
and in secret she tells only the space behind her.
