Lights Going Out

I gaze into the sky at night,
Sometimes in awe, sometimes in fright
Its peaceful darkness hides my fear
Of something monstrous getting near
Armageddon drawing nigh,
When everything on Earth will die
Be prepared, don’t be in doubt
This will turn the world’s lights out.

An impact that no man has seen
Not even in his wildest dream
The sun will be obliterated
By the Earth disintegrated
Six billion voices scream out loud
As cosmic dust becomes our shroud
Like dinosaurs who roamed this land
Wiped out by a grain of sand.
