Like I’ve Never Been Broken

You see me cry,
I am not broken,
You think I'm shy,
Because I have not spoken,
I choose not to tell my secrets,
So I replace my pain with a smile on my face,
I choose not to be open,
For every sin makes me more of a disgrace,
I am not afraid to cry,
I am not afraid to speak,
I am not afraid of pain,
But I do not have to tell,
I learn from my mistakes,
Life is like a textbook,
Everyday is a new lesson to learn,
I'll never look back,
Because that is one way I will never turn,
I will smile,
I'll smile through it all,
You will see a smile on my face,
Even when I fall.
Bad times get better,
Rain doesn't last forever,
So that's why I smile,
I smile like I've never been broken.
