Limerence

Two lovers who yearn to hold one another,
Under the dark blue night and black cover.
They reach out but never touch.
All day from dawn to dusk.
For fate has its way,
And each lover cannot stay.
Because destiny rides on the back of wild stallions.
Present now among the thousands.
I too have loved another,
But whoa to fate I pray,
I cannot love the other.
So here upon my pedestal, I lay
To find my love another day.
