Liquid Courage

Liquid courage isn't liquor for me....
It's black as the depths of the cosmos
Sweet to taste, yet biter as liquorice root
Strong enough to awaken the soul from its slumber
A hibernating bear through the cold of winter

Searching for one's self with each sip
Remembering who it is that I am

Foggy mind refreshed again
Like a marines lantern upon the sea
It dose part, oh how I long for thee

Coffee is my first love
People a close second
blissful surrender into that cup, oh shit.... I am out....
