Listen To Me

Sacrificing my own truth,
As you don't listen to me,
You hear what I say,
You just pretend to be.
When I needed you,
You simply walk away,
You act like you really care,
Your silence has a lot to say.
Why do I stay around?
For you to have someone to control?
It doesn't even seem right,
For you to belittle my soul.
I need to step aside,
To let yourself spin out,
There's nothing I can do,
For this I have no doubt.
You can't be reasoned with,
As you cannot listen to me,
I thought you really cared,
You hear what you want it to be.
