When I was born, he too felt the pain of Birth,
Little did I know being his Son is a blessing on Earth.
When I started to crawl, he too laid his palm on the floor,
Little did I know with that care I was never left poor.
When I started to speak, he added value to my words,
Little did I know those were the essentials required to move forward.
When I started to walk, he held my hands and came along,
Little did I know it was love that made his knees strong.
When I started to run, he too paced with the same speed,
Little did I know my safety is all he need.
When I started to learn, he wept with pride,
Little did I know his dream of me achieving was wide.
When I started to work, he saw me with a silence,
Little did I know it was from him I built that confidence.
When I told him I’m about to fly to enhance my future, he accepted it with a simple smile;
Little did I know the distance in between us would grow to an unimaginable mile.
Today I’m HIS proud son,
Definitely HIS journey with me will remain a HEROIC one.
Dad!! You will always remain… not in the frame;
But as a HERO behind all my successful fame.
With this physical gap amidst us,
A lot of thoughts in silence we discuss.

For a FATHER- who’s one in a million!!!
From a Son who is missing that position..

This Poems Story

I wrote this poem for my friend, who lost his beloved father when he was miles away in other continent sculpting his future. This is specially for that INTENSE picture clicked by a SON while he is lost in the thoughts of his dad.
