Little Girls And Little Boys
O, what miracles! O, what joys!
Our little girls and little boys,
Given to us, for us to love,
From the hand of the Father above.
What happiness to us they bring!
Enough to make our sad hearts sing.
They come and ask only that we
Would give them love and security.
In a child, you may see
A part of you, a part of me,
A part of God, we should recall,
He, in His image, made us all.
We know that in the Master's plan,
He saw a way to enrich man.
They weren't denied His face to see.
He said,"Suffer them to come to me."
O, how quickly we forget
Though many years, a short time, yet,
Of the tears and of the joys
Of being little girls and boys.
To guide them, teach them right from wrong.
We are weak, but God is strong.
They're His miracles, they're His joys.
Our little girls and little boys.
