Little Hummingbird

Hey there,
Little hummingbird.
I wish I could be you:
So colorful,
So free.
I wish I could float around,
Gain interest with such ease.
I wish I was looked at with amazement at just a glance;
Though, you didn't get there easy, did you?
Little hummingbird,
So small and free,
Never let anything get you down-
You are truly beautiful,
Inside and out.
You've been where I am now,
And you made it out.
So hold onto your found strength,
And let others,
like me,
follow your path.
Little hummingbird,
I know you have been through so much.
Now it's my turn,
And one day I'll be that humming bird...
One day, someone will look up to me.
