Little Kittie Cat Comes Home

the sky was gloomy and gray.
The clouds were threatening snow.
In the garage I worked
to make my blower go.
I felt a pressure on my leg.
A neighbor's cat here to beg
some attention and gentle caresses.
Reaching down to pet my friend,
a ball of fluff was found instead,
with a curly tail instead of a cane.
With a plaintive mew
She pawed my knee.
Her big sad eyes begging,
"Please pick up me!"
I bent and lifted her in my arms.
She cuddled under my chin,
purring out her charms,
letting me know
she had no where else to go.
And that she was going to stay
here with me and never go away.
The weather so cold and sky so gray,
no way in heaven could I turn her away.
My little KC was here to stay.
