Little Waterfall

Water rushing over rocks
and falling into foam,
sliding over surfaces
of slippery moss.
Splutter and splash!
Pooling into quiet puddles
where tiny bubbles dance.

Gurgling and laughingly,
it sings its happy way
down terraces of rocky stairs
where sunlight glares
on threads of wild, white sheets of water
spilling down the steps.
