little white lines

I count the miles as I go,
the total so far I don't know

It seems an endless road ahead,
with cars and trucks and taillights red

The twists the turns, hills in between,
go farther than what can be seen

I bounce I rumble down that road,
but soon I'll get to drop my load

I need to find my way back home,
where there I'll find her with this poem

I'll drive again all through the night,
and soon I'll have her in my sight

To hold her close, I cannot wait,
and talk about our coming date

Some day I hope we'll be together,
just hope it doesn't take forever

Till then I'll keep counting, little white lines :)
