Lobotomy

A sleepless dream is all I need
to throttle the drear life I lead.
A violent end to the nightmares,
sedated start to empty stares.

Rest eternal, don't look back,
for innocence is all is all I lack.
Corrupt this bleak monotony
and drain away my sanity.

Slumber, slumber, never stop.
Ever drown, ever drop.
Hypnotize this blasted sight
and cauterize this devil's blight.

Thoughtfulness will never be.
Punctured eyes will never see.
God's rejected progeny,
perverted into nobody.
