Locked In

By

Plexiglass bubbles for students to suffocate in,
99.9% of bacteria killed- but is it?
The ticking of the clock,
Seconds, minutes, hours go by
Slowly.
Eyes burned from spending eight hours a day on screens,
Getting work done is not as easy as it seems.
Locked in
Inside four walls it is a living hell.
Most of the time unable to breathe,
Fearing for their lives the people seem to be.
No one knows anything
The economy is suffering,
Limp bodies sputtering.
Bleeding from the cuts on my arms
I am locked in.
It's all internalized.
Mental health,
Does not exist for the commonwealth.
Locked in
Keeping it all within.
