In a strange land
Displaced bacause of the hurricane
Remembering from where I came.
Millions rushing around
Yet, I am stand alone.
Trying to adjust in a rush
Never had to use a bus.
Smiling all the while
Pretending I'm happy
But this does not spread to the inside.
Afraid to cry
I will never stop
So I laugh and pretend
And ask myself why?
Sometimes it gets so bad
Reflecting on things I had.
Millions of people, strangers
No one cares.
No one to hear what you have to say
No one to ask
How was your day?
All alone in this great universe
trapped by insecurities
No one cares
If you are lonely.
