Lonely Heart

Breathe in, breathe out.
Telling myself you'll be here,
Trying to push away the doubt.
My heart is heavy inside,
Avoiding the urge to run and hide
As I sit beside myself and cry.
Breathe in, breathe out.
Your truth keeps me alive.
It's all I think about.
But the words never come out right.
Breathe in, breathe out.
I continue to believe
That my heart will survive.
I'll be waiting for you here
In my sea of doubt,
Drowning in the fear
Of what's been done.
Breathe in, breathe out.
Who know a lonely heart
Would hurt just like a broken one?

My heart is broken. My love is lost. The loneliness feels so empty.
