Lonely Street Lamp

Nurturing the loneliness,
that long silence.

The marching crowd has long gone
from the alley where the street lamp stands.
It yearns towards the empty sky
and eternity,

like a nun's prayer,
desiring more than a camel's thirst.

The cross of the street
emphasizes the philosophy of love.
