Longing

I wake up looking for you.
It's hard here by myself
Problems always come and go they caused me to freeze up.
A deer in the headlights looks more normal
Then me trying to fight my troubles.
The Earth keeps spinning without me
But I stopped running to keep up.
When you were here I had no fear.
It made me feel safe while you were near.
What will I do till we're together again?
I do not know my head still spins.
I lay down at night and shut off the light.
The Moon is pretty but not as bright.
I think you hung my moon and stars
But now I struggle like I'm behind bars.
My head's still spinning I try to rest.
I long to hold you close to my breast.
I close my eyes to see your face
But all I see now is empty space.
I dream of times we had together.
When my heart-felt Sunny forever.
And again I wake up looking for you.
I long for when my time is through.
