“Longing for Autumn”

I longed for a place to belong
I wanted to love and become
Instead I have no where to hang my hat
Instead I have vague memories.

Where did the time go
Why are things the way are
Who am I to disagree
Why do I ask these questions?

I lifted a book from yesterday
I read it until my eyes were red
From those pages the words bled
To close my eyes and sleep, I wish there was a way.

My truth knows no bounds
My hatred kindled knows no depths
My aim knows no barriers
My mind knows no rules.

The time for those fools end
Here I lie down on green grass
Soon Autumn will be here
I watch Death slowly creep along the road for prey.
