Looked Away
A broken heart
After their daughters, sons, husbands and wives
depart they fight so we have a right for our true regin
They return insane. lack of soul of will to live.
Living in the streets
like dirt
underneth our own feet
with no one to pick them up
Treated like a mutt lost
without love
when we could help them up
we kick them back into the dust.
Why aren't they treated the same
they have fought and been through more pain
than we could ever face
Why doesen't the disgrace
weigh them down
like it does me
they fought
they were brave
they saved the day
but when they came home
and treated like a stray
they looked away
looked away
