Lose v. Lost

Lose vs. Lost

Misshapen yet fortified
Disheveled with finesse
Hollowed yet still heavy is the weight
Of this melancholy anthem obsessed
Can you see me now?
Realizing it is too late
Doubled over by disdain
I was supposed to make it count
You were supposed to wait
I was supposed to figure it out in time
As i slit the throat of fate
But only after spitting in its face
I can now recognize the truth
How it always begins with anger
Because everyone hates to lose

This Poems Story

I wrote this the not long after my Uncle passed away. He was the closest type i had to a dad. I never told him how much he meant to me. I miss him terribly.
