Loss
My mother and father both hold my hand tight
Mother to my right, father to my left
We walk along with laughing smiles that are bright
My childhood is everything but a mess
Father to my left, mother on my right
We stop walking and the voices get loud and clear
My childhood was everything but a mess
These voices are everything I have ever feared
As the voices get loud and clear
I see the angry faces start to reveal
These voices are my biggest fear
My feelings and theirs we can’t conceal
I hear the voices and see the revealed faces
No one to my left, my mother on my right
Both our feelings we can no longer conceal
For father has left and our smiles no longer bright
