Loss of Innocence

He touched my body
Before he touched my soul
Innocence lost to a bet between boys
Saying no wasn't enough anymore
The world no longer felt safe
Getting in a guy's car became an invitation in my pants
A bet to take the new girl's virginity
It didn't just take her virginity
It took the gleam in her eye
It took her trust from the men who deserved it
