Loss Of Love

Don’t you hate it?
When you feel a warming, welcoming touch
And then it leaves
And then you are empty
And then you are cold
I lack the part of my brain
That feels love
And feels warmth
All because I felt it once
And then it left
And I became empty
And I became insecure
I cried for the first time in months
Because I fell hard
But he didn’t catch me
I hit the ground
And I shattered into a million pieces
And now I hide
Because I haven’t found a way
To put myself back together
I drown in despair
Because what I need to hear
Is not being said
And the silence is deafening
