Loss

Loss is like a black hole wherever you go
Like a dead-end road, but with no end
Or a never-blue sky
A sun that has no light

Loss is a never-ending doom
That has loose ends
Which are forever there
A day that never ends

Loss is like a world with no light
Joy or happiness
A roller coaster that never goes up
Like a violin that's never played

Loss is like a teacher that never teaches
A student that never learns
A heart that's forever broken
Today, with no tomorrow

Loss is like a book that's never read
A poem that's never written
And an award that's never earned
Or will ever be
