Lost At Sea

In 2001,
Our ship tossed upon the white caps of the north Vava’u
Thrown and hurdled to its rocky doom
The maleficent, violent ocean spray
Hailing the lives of a forlorn crew

Four days at sea but now the end
The drifting hulk thus run aground
To all aboard did Neptune send
His wrath to claim the souls of men

Save for one only lonely soul
Young master Michael Gregory
Who left his world and went to go
To forget his love though lost at sea

And forget the deepest blue eyes of a sainted being
Her image fading away, a haunting tethered memory
Yes, this happened to young master Gregory
Sole survivor marooned you see---
To forget his love
But was lost
At sea
