Lost at sea

I wish for that same affection
A smile without a cause
The best tender moments lost at sea
Messages doomed for failure
All but memories
tied to twisted feelings
And the worst of reflections

I swim with bricks and chains
buoyancy be damned
Carried by the current
Lost before the journey's end
A view from another room,
jaded by the moon's sweet glow

Forget me not my sweet divine
No lost secrets in our saga
All recounted as moments in a play
Acted upon hastily and without concern
Operations of our own demise
