Lost beauty

There she stood,
With a smile of gold.
And her eyes sparkled.
With a tint of colour on her cheeks.
She looked pretty, oh, she is.

But as you go near her
her beauty fades.
Something that you saw
was never there.
That sparkle was a tear.

She had wrinkles,
Her blush was a scar.
Her heart was in pieces,
and her soul was torn apart.

What had happen to her?
Her childhood, Her youth asked me.
Life. That is what happened.
