LOST & FOUND

By

There's a corner in my mind that once was free.
When you left, thoughts dripped from poisoned memories.
leaving a stranger in your wake.
For it can't be my thoughts shrieking, "Betrayal."
I didn't say, "We are not anymore."
That grimace can't be my placid face
with wet eyes that do not see.

Yet, the pain is mine
and the loneliness that washes through me is mine
And the scream that I don't say, echo
in that private space
that I so neatly reserved for you.

And I'm lost and won't be found
for a time, for a time.
