Lost in Darkness

The moon glows mysteriously in the night
A beacon for those with a dismal plight

A nocturnal breath caresses with a shiver
Stunning those with a kiss of the reaper

As vengeful souls influence beyond the grave
The mightiest tremble as though children were they

With the howl of the wolf and soar of the crow
Evil infernos are stoked and so burn down below

One has souls lost while another has souls gained
In a pit of the damned, tormented, and the insane

This intense darkness which spawns so much fear
So malevolent; so macabre; nothing anymore is sincere

How to overcome such a foe with which we ask why
The answer is quite simple, to still resist is to die
