Lost Life

Lost boy, forever in my dreams
Lost soul, yet to be redeemed.
Lost son, taken like a kite
Lost brother, drifted out of sight
Lost freedom, years in a cell
Lost joy, his life a living hell.
Lost security, waiting among thieves
Lost pride -guards rashly peeved.
Lost dreams, and who he could of been,
Lost innocence, the evil he has seen.
Lost friends - gone a different way,
Lost family - no words left to say.
Lost love, the woman he should have married,
Lost children - his flesh she could have carried.
Lost sunsets, a vision out of reach
Lost sandcastles with grandkids at the beach.
Lost trips to places he’ll never go
Lost pride, the kind he’ll never know.
Lost photos, memories he should have made.
Lost life ..ready for his grave.
