Lost Light

This cave does captivate my soul,
It does take that which I need to control
My only sense of any use,
Blackened by the lack of which
I can only hope to find again.

My soul did once captivate this cave
And I can feel it still glowing,
But I've forgotten how it might pair
With what once shown from deep inside these stone walls.

Her's was always heated, Red,
And treated him with fire gazes
Blessed with tendril streaks of molten graces.

His was soft and brown and green,
And danced around her lovely beat.
It sang to her a song
That calmed her heart and stomped her feet.

They never did conspire to let their light be one,
But watched as their shadows
Cast onto each other's faces.
