Lost Love

A time when it didn't matter what was right or wrong
That was the time in which I was in love with you, my dear
A time when I fell deeply in love with you
I was trapped in your eyes
Drunk on your sweet love
Lost in your smile,
And completely devoted to you, sweetheart
Oh! How my heart aches for you!
Oh! How I wish to be by your side!
Woe is me when I see you now
With your downcast eyes, and fading smile
If it hurts you to be away from me, why do you wish to be alone?
My heart skips a beat when I hear your name,
And my stomach gets butterflies
Oh! How my heart aches for you!
Oh! How I wish to be by your side!
All of the true feelings I had for you are changing
They have turned into pain, and sadness
Oh! How my heart aches for you!
Oh! How I wish to be by your side!
Even when you're gone I feel you close
There is no one I want to be with more than you, my significant other
No matter what happens to you and me
Forever and always we shall be
Lovers for all eternity

All my life I have been surrounded by so many miscellaneous, spectacular, wonderful things, and I have had so many incredible, loving people in my life to help me understand those infinately many things in my life. I have been blessed with two loving parents: Cindy and Pete Hanrath, seven brothers and six sisters, my best friend for ten years and counting: Heather Nilson, my grandparents, the rest of my huge family, and eight adorable cats. I wrote my poem about my first love, Austin Dickinson, who broke my heart, but I believe that someday we'll fall in love again.
