Lost Love

The North Pole must have evicted Jack Frost
He's renting a room in my heart
Love found, love lost
Love for sell, love bought
But now, her love does fit and must be returned
Exchanged for my pain
Memories shared, Experience gained
Her favorite purple was color
Her favorite New York was place
Words as jumbled as emotions
Was this scattered love a nightmare or a dream?
Sands of sorrow sticking to my feet on the beach
Winds of relief
Cooling my soul from my anger's heat
As I walk into the ocean of life after love
Waters cold,
Wishing I could turn around
But the footprints back to her love cannot be found
They were washed away by the new moon's tide
Slow strides
Into singular life's uncharted yet familiar waters
Waters filled with sharks, Waters filled with dolphins
Feet no longer on solid ground
Waves of emotions, Carry me to a place
Where I may love again
