Lost Love
How did it happen so fast.
That kiss became the last.
Now I look from afar
For less than friends we are.
We talked to each other
Now, we talk to others
Shamed to look in those eyes
That melted the coldest ice
By setting my hearts on fire.
In them, something I admire.
Ravaging emotions in flames
Set my body ablaze
My heart whispers “it is too late.
Too soon.”
That kiss became the last.
Now I look from afar
For less than friends we are.
We talked to each other
Now, we talk to others
Shamed to look in those eyes
That melted the coldest ice
By setting my hearts on fire.
In them, something I admire.
Ravaging emotions in flames
Set my body ablaze
My heart whispers “it is too late.
Too soon.”
